OEDIPE
Une musique rock teintée de métal hardcore aux textes poétiques et sensibles devient vite l’empreinte du groupe.
Sillonnant les scènes du sud de la France avec près de 100 concerts, Oedipe remporte en 2001 le 7ème Tremplin des Musiques Actuelles.
En 2002, le groupe sort son premier album intitulé Elisa. Histoire d'une jeune femme en proie à ses démons intérieurs, cet album inscrit Oedipe dans un style très personnel, le « poetic hardcore », entre chanson française et métal, hypersensibilité et rage.
Il permet au groupe de participer au tremplin régional des découvertes du Printemps de Bourges 2003, puis d’être sélectionné parmi 14 000 concurrents pour le Tremplin Révélation RTL 2, organisé par APAM à Nantes fin mars 2005.
Dans leur deuxième album, AMAERU, Œdipe nous invite dans leur propre réalité. Leur univers prend ici toute sa dimension entre puissance et émotion, énergie et détermination. Le groupe impose l’empreinte musicale qui l’a toujours construit tout en explorant de nouvelles ambiances, plus proche du grand public. Avec des textes porteurs de réflexions telles que le don de la vie et une musique d’une profonde sensualité, AMAERU (terme japonais désignant le sentiment de dépendance affective, notamment celui du nourrisson à la mère) affirme le style novateur d’Œdipe et marque une évolution vers une grande maturité musicale.

The band Oedipe was born in 1997, in a beautiful town named Montpellier.
The roots of the band: Bastien (guitar), Laurent (Drum), and Max (voice);
the first creation repertoire put stakes up of a melodie and powerful metal
hardcore with french lyrics.
As far back as then the band has found a place in montpellieran scene
next to bands like Lunatic age, Washin'Mashin, Herbium. 2000 broke into a
gallop, Max left andAdrien arrived behind the mike. A big work time came,
whose final is the present repertoire.
Quickly, Oedipe has played on big southern stages, Victoire 2,
Rockstore, La Gare, le Cargo de nuit, Le Poste à Galène, MJC St Paul Trois
Châteaux, Les passagers du zincS, they had common gigs with Tripod,
Viridiana, Lunatic age, Eths, Machination, Freedom for King Kong, Biocide,
La BestiaSand drew attention winning the 7th Music zactuel, springboard as a
powerful, original and sensitive band.
During two years, the band self-produced two studio four tracks E.P,
"Introspection" in 2000 and "première séance" in 2001, he has developped a
disconcerting style between french song ( Barbara, Brel, Ferre) and metal
hardcore ( Helmet, Tool, Fugazi, Drive Blind).
He has participated to several compilations: A core et a cri, and
Autoprod Support from Antistatic collectif.
The band works a lot with other collectives for exchanges like Coriace,
Rockwave, AntistaticS
With the coming of his first ten tracks album "Elisa" for mid 2002,
Oedipe is trying to increase his audiance, to make people known his poetic
hardcore.
